You can deduct certain vehicle expenses you paid in service to a charity.

You can deduct the following as charitable contributions when they are directly related to your service to a charity:
- Parking fees
- Toll fees
- Any unreimbursed out-of-pocket vehicle expenses, such as the cost of gas and oil
You can't deduct:
- General repair and maintenance expenses
- Depreciation
- Registration fees
- Tires
- Insurance
